Bodily Information Exchange

I find the concept of information systems helpful to explain how Chinese medicine therapeutics help create the conditions of healing. All functions of the body can been seen in terms of information exchange. Our nervous system, hormonal system, circulatory system, digestive system, as well as the acupuncture meridian system, are integrated systems that provide the necessary information to keep our body functioning. When any of these systems have impaired functioning there is a mis-communication of information that can then spread throughout the entire network of the body. We experience this mis-communication of information as the symptoms of our disease.

Chinese Medicine Point of View

From the Chinese medicine point of view the systems of the body are injured from the information generated by excessively sustained emotional states, dietary indiscretions, environmental insults, and physical injury. Chinese medicine utilizes methods such as acupuncture to input therapeutic information into the body through the meridian system to shift the various systems of the body toward increased function and integration, thereby reducing symptoms and restoring optimal health.

My Techniques

I utilize the following techniques in my Oriental medicine practice:

1) Acupuncture, Chinese and Japanese styles
2) Chinese Herbal Medicine
3) Nambudripads' Allergy Elimination Techniques (NAET)
4) Massage
5) Heart Essence (Tibetan Reiki)
6) Energy Body Work
